TwitterCounter for @RazorNylon

I have been asked probably 100 times why I picked the name RazorNylon. Well, if you are one of those who are also wondering here is the answer.

I was spending the night with some friends back when I was in high school and the internet was still young. We were trying to find different names to register on AOL, the leading internet provider at the time, that were without abbreviations, numbers, or other slang. We wanted real names. After 100's on unsuccessful tries, and after recently watching the movie "Hackers", again I was young. I was trying to use two word combination's and "Razor" was one of the ones I was using frequently. I registered other names such as "NoNegative" and "AcidBleach" that same night. I used these names more often for a long time. However when it came time to register a domain name the task was much harder to do the same. RazorNylon was a screen name I had been using, and was the best of the bunch that had not been previously registered.

I wasn't technically thrilled about the idea with this name, however other the years it has tended to grow on my more and more. The biggest issue I have with the name is that most hear it and think "PORN". The one thing I can honestly say I have never attempted (as far as web sites go). I have googled it, and its expensive..., it ended there. One friend did point out after the fact that both "Razor's" and "Nylon's" have to do with a woman's legs. Which may lead to this misconception.

The logo was created using a backwards "R" and an "N" because the two words both start and end with the same letter. So these two letters make it very versatile to be placed just about anywhere and allow me to change my mind later as how I want to use them.

I would love a new domain that fits my non-teenage life, especially since I am over to 30 year old mark now. However, my quest in search of another domain with the same requirements is even hard now. The name is easy to remember and most who know it now are aware of what it is and what it isn't, so until a new and better domain lands in my lap (not crossing any fingers), RazorNylon is here!
